March 28th, 2010So the top photo is Beka getting a breathing treatment during her nap. The second is the medicine floating through the air above her. Aunt Karen - we now use the mask 100% of the time. For those of you who don’t know these breathing treatments are for RAD - reactive airway disease, kind of like asthma. We’ve had an unusually cold winter which has brought on several attacks so we use this breathing machine everyday. And several times a day during episodes.
Then the third is Daddy putting on a puppet show before bed.
Sunday at the ballpark

March 27th, 2010I let myself get lazy with the family blog lately. Sorry about that. So here are a bunch of photos taken with the iPhone the past 3 months.
She is 20 months now and lots of fun. She’s talking a lot, running and saying “no!” We are having a blast.
We’ve some trouble with RAD attacks cause of the cold weather. I never thought I’d be hoping for the South Florida heat to come back but I’m hoping she has less attacks then.
So the blog I use doesn’t have a very good photo gallery setup so sorry it’s so annoying to scroll through these images. Click on them to see the full image.
- Now that she knows where the step stool is there is a whole new world of fun.
- Elmo is the latest obsession, but she has great affection for her babies and stuffed animals. She shows them lots of love.
- Yes, she still sucks her thumb and I currently have no plans to stop it.
- Lorakeets at Butterfly World. This was pretty cool, unfortunately I didn't get a good picture of Rebekah with them. I think Scott was taking pics on his camera that day. She loves talking about birds so this was a big treat until once of them nipped her fingers. No blood was drawn.
- First professional haircut. Until now I always cut her bangs...and badly I admit. She cried for a second here, but don't be fooled she was good the rest of the time. She didn't move her head around, stay calm and in one place. It was amazing. She's never that good for me when I do it. All haircuts will be professional from this point on. Which is why the bangs are cut so short, so we don't have to go that often.
- The monorail at the Miami Metro Zoo scared her but it was a good day otherwise.
- On the weekends I don't give a lot of thought to matching up the colors.
- This is a new thing for her. She grunted a lot at first and turned beet red, but she loves it. She's getting buff.
- At the Morikami Japanese Gardens with daddy. This was a very nice day, especially since her Grandma Lori (Scott's mother) and Grandpa Vince were there.
- The best part of the Miami Metro Zoo. She's always had a thing for giraffes.
- Daddy turned the chore of shredding paper into playtime.
- This is at Big Al's Fish store. Quite a drive for us but totally worth it on a day where it was way too cold to be outside.
- This is Penelope, a doggy friend of Rebekah. She pushed her around in the rickety shopping cart on our new deck. To my surprise Penelope didn't mind at all.
- Beka likes to share her baby's pacifier with me, she also sticks her thumb in my mouth. It's good to share, but a little slimey at times.
- Barnes N' Noble is another indoor playground when it's yucky outside.
- First ice cream bar at the Miami Metro Zoo. Despite the funny face she loved it. She just always looks like that when she is eating.
- Partying late with daddy at the Commerical pier.
- Mommy's bad chalk drawings at the park.
- Finger painting at home.
- Not really sure what this face was all about. Just another adventure in the kitchen cabinets while mommy cooks.
- Passed out with Daddy late on a Saturday night after mommy got home from working the night shift.
